About ACT Test Now

ActTestNow.com is an independent ACT practice site. We write original questions to the current, enhanced ACT format, explain every one of them, and show results that help you decide what to practice next.

  • 20full-length practice tests
  • 100timed sectional tests across five subjects
  • 1,050topic practice questions in 21 topics
  • 1 freediagnostic, plus free tests in every format

What we build

Everything on the site is for one exam. Full-length tests run English, Math and Reading at real timing, with Science and Writing available as optional sections. Sectional tests cover one subject at a time. Topic practice breaks each multiple-choice subject into the skills the ACT reports on, and the free diagnostic gives you a starting point in about 25 minutes.

How our questions are written

  1. Written to the enhanced ACT. Section lengths, timings, passage counts and the four-choice format follow the current official structure. We check that structure against ACT's published materials and update the site when it changes.
  2. Tagged by skill. Every question carries an ACT reporting category and a practice difficulty label (easy, medium or hard), which is what makes topic results and weak-area practice possible. Difficulty labels are ours, not official ratings.
  3. Explained. Each question has an explanation of the correct answer and, where it helps, of why the tempting wrong answers fail.
  4. Reviewed by our team. Every question has been checked by our team. If something still looks wrong, tell us with the question ID and we will check it.

What your results show

Results report what we can measure honestly: raw scores, accuracy by section, topic and difficulty, and time per question. We do not turn practice results into a 1 to 36 score, because a trustworthy conversion needs a scoring table validated for each specific form. If we ever add estimates, they will be labelled unofficial.

Who it is for

Students preparing for the ACT on their own, and parents or tutors helping them. Everything on the site is free: the diagnostic, every full-length and sectional test, all topic practice and AI feedback on Writing, with no account required.

Privacy by default

Many of our students are under 18, so we collect as little as possible. You can practice without an account; your attempts stay in your browser. An account needs only an email address, and you can delete your saved data yourself at any time. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Independence
